David Roberson, owner of the Roberson Campgroup was a 4 generation Sawmill owner. Our property started out with lumber and sawdust many years ago. Over time the economy changed, and the sawmill was moved closer to Memphis. The sawmill was moved, and the land became a place for me to see the potential to make a campground for hunters and fishermen from all over the United States. In 2007, I was seeking a retirement plan and started small and did 20 camper spots at a time. In 2021 we had finished completion and had 50 spots completely full of campers.

December 11, 2021 we had a F4 tornado that changed our life. It was a historical tornado that came from Arkansas and stretched all the way to Kentucky. The path of destruction was right on top of the campground. When I thought I was ready to retire and pass it over to my kids, God had other plans. We had 50 campers and 49 of them were demolished. I decided to rebuild, Reelfoot lake is loved by thousands of people a year and we wanted to bring back what we had so sadly lost. In July 2022 we finished and now have 58 spots. We are now offering nightly, monthly, and yearly rentals.
